The Bridging Ages Conference 2007

 The song festival was part of the Bridging Ages onference in Tukums, Latvia - a Time Travelback to a sunny day in 1928, when hundreds of song festival participants come to Tukums. In ctober 2007 more than hundred people cameto the Durbe Manor House in Tukums to make a ime Travel to a year when democracy wasyoung in Latvia and there was much talk about raditional or modern values. The motto was: tothink together and to sing together. Before the singing there were a lot of reparations: make the banners, find a modernhairstyle, prepare the meal and of course ehearse the songs. A procession led to the siteof the concert, where the big choir sang some eautiful Latvian songs. The host of the songfestival was the poet Janis Rainis played by anis Garjans, head of the State Authority ofMuseums in Latvia.
