Bridging Ages International is situated as a formal organization at Kalmar county museum in Kalmar. The museum has since the start 2004 been the head office of the international organization. Today there is also an office in Finland and the president of Bridging Ages International is residing in Vasa, Finland.
The educational department at Kalmar county museum is implementing the Time Travel method and Applied Heritage with a wide range of educational programs in the county, where local heritage is used to reflect on contemporary issues. Target groups are mainly schools and local communities: workshops, educational programmes, trainings, seminars and about 100 local Time Travel events in Kalmar region every year.
The last ten years, Kalmar county museum has been working with several projects in collaboration with international partners in over 20 countries throughout the world. Using the Time Travel method and Applied Heritage with the emphasis on contemporary issues to promote social cohesion, community-building and human rights. Kalmar county museum has a close connection to Linnaeus University in projects and university courses; a regional and international partnership.
