Vårdö gospel hall was built in 1915
The time is 1916, early in the spring. By June the gospel hall will be opened, but first the new building will have to be inspected and the craftsmen be given a feast. Preacher Johansson and priest Fleege has invited all the schoolchildren and the teacher of Vårdö to help with the final preparations. They will have to sweep and scrub every nook and cranny. The shipowner and donor Valfrid Mattson is coming to inspect the work. Maybe he will offer some of the boys a job?
