Bridging Ages
Bridging Ages is an international organization working with the Time Travel method and Applied Heritage. Bridging Ages started in 2004 as a network between those countries that used the Time Travel method. 2007 Bridging Ages was transformed into a formal organization with aboard, by-laws etc
Today Bridging Ages consists of people from schools, communities, museums, universities, NGOs from about 25 countries on four continents: South Africa, Kenya, Uganda, Turkey, Italy, Serbia, Finland, Sweden, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, USA, Ireland etc.
Each year Bridging Ages organizes an international conference, 2016 in Kalmar, Sweden, 2015 in Ireland, 2014 in Kenya, The conference 2017 will be held in Vasa, Finland in September.
Vision
Bridging Ages is an international organisation utilizing nearby history to understand life and society of today by bridging the past with the present.
Mission
Bridging Ages is an international organisation supporting and inspiring institutions such as museums, schools and heritage organisations in the development of Applied Heritage and Time Travels.
The Time Travel Method
is an educational method,
using local heritage in a learning process,
to create reflection on contemporary issues,
and provide tools for community building
